Commercial Illustration

Mostly done in Adobe Illustrator, these examples are a few of the pieces I've done either through commissions or as self-directed projects. I've been working in this spare, line driven style ever since I was introduced to Illustrator 3.0 all those years ago.

"Surf's Up"

Commission. A fun little illustration (part of a series) that was done for a local sporting goods company extolling the benefits of just going outside.

"Distracted"

Self-directed project. Ever get the feeling that you're the only person on the road paying attention to the act of DRIVING your car?? Inattentive drivers contribute to the stress of the commute. Stay safe out there in your travels.

"Tiny"

Self-directed project. Owning a small car means you have to share the road with people obsessed with gigantic assault tank SUVs and enormous pickup trucks. That's the observation that inspired this companion piece to "Distracted."

"Femme Fatale"

Self-directed project. Assertive, not passive - the unbridled woman that operates under the same rules as men and terrifies the conservative establishment.
Character developed from a sketch dating back several years.

"Blue Wonder"

Self-directed project. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi has had a storied past and is popular with the tuning crowd that grew up with the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise. The first in a series of automotive posters depicting cars that I've long admired.
